Bruce Goddard

Bruce Goddard is a name synonymous with Project Marketing across Queensland. He has led the sales and marketing teams for some of Queensland’s largest residential, waterfront and mixed-use projects.

Bruce has over 35 years’ experience successfully marketing and selling major residential and marina projects from the Gold Coast through to Cairns, including a focus on Brisbane’s inner ring.

In 2010, Bruce joined forces with experienced Sunshine Coast project marketer, Syd Walker. Bruce and Syd brought their wealth of Project Marketing experience and strong industry connections to the established brand of the Place Estate Agents group. This partnership saw the creation of Place Projects.

Major Projects and Project Marketing are Bruce’s passion. He has a strong belief that the right design for the right product, at the right price, presented to the ideal target market, through a well trained and experienced sales team, will result in volume sales.

Bruce expertise has encompassed a broad dealt range of properties. These include inner city high-rise, lifestyle-related golf course residential product, and waterfront and marina property. Many projects are ‘off-the-plan’ sales.

Bruce is as adept at working with all tiers of client involved in any project, from the developer and its creative team, through to the product buyer.

Syd Walker

In 2010, after a 20 year project marketing career in the Sunshine Coast region Syd relocated to Brisbane to become a founding partner with Bruce Goddard and Damian Hackett to establish Place Projects, now part of the Place Group of Companies. Today, one of his key roles includes the sourcing of new projects for the Place Projects business . Syd also works closely with large public property companies to develop selling and marketing strategies for their products, and brand consulting for major mixed use projects in the South East QLD market. Some of his past and current clients, with whom he has established solid working relationships, include Brookfield Residential, Lend Lease, Sekisui House, McNab, Shayher and many private developers. Syd feels that aligning with a strong independent boutique residential brands in Brisbane such as Place Estate Agents offers the closest synergy with his own principal expertise in managing residential projects, and is vital in contributing to the ongoing success.

Current roles include helping to find sites for developers. Also working with large public property companies to develop selling and marketing strategies for their products and brand consulting for major mixed-use projects in South East QLD. He consults to mid-market private developers for a holistic approach to delivery of in fill medium density residential apartments within 7km of the Brisbane CBD.

Notable past Sunshine Coast tourism projects included Fraser’s (Australand) 5 stage Seaforth project at Alexandra Headland, the redevelopment of the CBX hotel with the twin residential towers called Aspect on Bulcock Street Caloundra, and Lendlease’s North Shore Apartments at Novotel Twin Waters. Syd also continues to service the Sunshine Coast based Developers assisting where possible with research advice and market and product trends.
